Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 with Zombie Multiplayer Mode

News that was believed to be a speculation, turned out to be true, when Treyarch finally rolled out a glimpse of the undead in its new teaser. Yes, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will feature a fully fledged zombie multiplayer mode that is expected to offer some unrestricted and countless zombie encounters.  So, here are some interesting trivia about the zombie multiplayer mode in this upcoming game.

The Undead will rise again:

Though zombies have been a part of the franchise, this will be the first time the zombies will have a complete campaign dedicated to them. Also, the game play in multiplayer engine will now allow up to 8 players to game on simultaneously in a co-op mode, which is twice as the count from its earlier titles- Call of Duty: World at War and Call of Duty: Black Ops. It is also believed that the fictional city of Nuketown will act as the backdrop of the zombie campaign and will feature the three following game modes.

Tranzit:

The Tranzit mode is perhaps one of the most interesting features of Black Ops2. Developers claim that recreation of maps and the environment in this mode will be more massive than ever and that they are free to be explored. Players can play alone or group up to players of 4 on a co-op mission and explore the world on foot or using a vehicle (bus). The main mission in this game mode will supposedly be to stop at various spots and take down every undead present at the location. Once, the coast is clear, the players can then proceed to the next spot. Also, the game will allow the players to build blockades to defend against the zombie attacks and reportedly, steer the bus. Furthermore the players can collect several items and pieces as they traverse and build themselves a tool or a weapon using the collected materials.

Survival mode:

Yes, the classic mode is back in Black Ops2. For those of you who are unaware, this mode will allow players to play along with three others players as a co-op or play alone and survive against the endless attack of the zombies. The maps and environment in this mode will be a slice form one of the maps of the Tranzit campaign and will be customized according to the locations. Now, this will be one mode that is sure to cause at least some damage to the controllers.

Grief mode:

Grief mode is a new inclusion to the franchise. To sum it up in simple words, this mode is all about humans-take down-humans-take down-zombies. Yes, the Grief mode will have a team of two (four players in each team) fighting against each other. The objective of the game is that each team will have to try and knock the other team out of the campaign. And the interesting twist in this mode is that the players will be battling it out on a zombie infested region. These zombies have the least respect for the humans and will take down players regardless of the team they belong. The players cannot kill the opponents as such like zombies, but can push them to a vulnerable situation that compels their death. So, the last team to stand strong wins the campaign.

As usual expectations ride high in this first person action shooter game. And, with such announcements and game play features, the title is sure to be a treat for those craving for some gore action. The game calls for duty on November 30th and will be available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PCs. So, until then, let’s gear up to face one of the most action packed duties of our virtual life!
